Today....we sail! We left Great Guana Cay around noon and sailed off the hook in a relatively crowded anchorage. We back winded the main and drifted backwards before turning between two boats. Once off, we were taking SE to get over to Fowl Cay. Unfortunately the anchorage was quite rolly and wavy so we skipped anchoring there and kept sailing to Marsh Harbor.
We tacked into the anchorage and sailed right onto anchor. After a glass of wine to celebrate our sail we hopped in Coco to go find our friends on Saoirse who were sailing with us, but a bit slower.
We met them a mile our or so and got some really nice shots of them sailing in with the sun setting. Pure magic. LOVE the new 15hp. That thing HAULS ASS!!!
It was the first time taking Coco out in calm water with the new motor, we had to have been doing 20kts. Next time we’ll check it with Navionics.
Tomorrow the winds are supposed to me lighter, so we may, day sail back over to Fowl Cay. We’re heard it a must and can’t be missed
LOCATION: SEA OF ABACO
